Marketing Assistant

Description: Coordinate and assist marketing activities for professional consulting engineering services, such as Engineering, Environmental, and Land Surveying, for public and private sector clients. This position requires direct contact and assertive interaction with internal company staff, as well as external client representatives.

Candidate must possess the ability and desire to generate additional business through new client relationship building and phone interaction. Developing and maintaining marketing database(s) by utilizing enterprise wide web-based software program (Deltek Vision) in support of proposal development, project management, contract administration, and strategic analysis activities is required. Provide clerical and administrative support for consultant procurement process, e.g. schedule and administer client development meetings to foster and promote client contacts; track leads or new opportunities; compose and compile proposal documents; design and prepare marketing presentations in graphic or textual formats; develop and maintain relevant marketing content for corporate website and social media platforms.

Must possess the ability to address multiple, simultaneous assignments and perform under deadline with optimum accuracy and speed. Prepare marketing materials for marketing meetings and conferences. Candidate may need to attend conferences, some of which may require travel and/or limited stay. Candidate will work under the general supervision of the Marketing Manager and demonstrate creativity and initiative to accomplish tasks and realize identified goals. Advanced textual, graphical, and verbal communication skills are required. A candidate who possesses a high level of organization and attention to small details is also required. Preferred software expertise: demonstrably high level of expertise with current version(s) of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel); working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat; and familiarity with web-based business enterprise programs. Advanced knowledge of Graphic/Adobe Programs and social media platforms is a plus.

Requirements: Associates Degree required, Bachelors Degree in related field preferred. Two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures associated with professional engineering, architecture, or closely related field as a consequence of previous employment or educational experience is helpful.
